The 2014 might include a Kindle e-ink screen Flexible - ComputerHoy

E-Ink , the main supplier of electronic ink displays or e-paper , is developing a new flexible display technology with Sony to become e-readers like Kindle and Nook in much lighter.

flexible display technology Mobius , from plastic TFT technology developed by Sony , corresponds to a screen the size of a sheet of plain paper 8.3 x 11.3 inches . The key flexible screen is how light it is. Compared with glass screens, plastic screen weighs much less and also would not have to worry about if scratched.

Sony has developed a prototype for a e-reader with 13.3-inch flexible display market-driven business and education, which weighs about 350 grams. However, we may have to wait a year or more for the new flexible display technology e-readers reach popular as the Kindle, Nook and Sony Reader .

Meanwhile, in the coming months E-Ink announced a platform for e-readers new generation to serve as suscesor above Pearl . Launched in 2010, Pearl is the most widely used screen e-readers.

The new platform would include screens with better resolution and, perhaps more importantly, reduce the number of times you have to refresh each page e-book . Currently readers are forced to pause reading to refresh the screen every 6 or 7 pages read, to clear the electronic fingerprints of previous pages, or “ghosting .” According to E-Ink new technology you would read up to 100 pages before refreshing the screen .

Pearl 2.0 ? Not so fast. For now the new platform has no name, though perhaps not for much longer. If the E-Ink plans remain, the new technology could be available in time for Christmas.

Specifically, the new Kindle can expect improvements in design and performance as well as a more uniform lighting in the Kindle Paperwhite . Also see the introduction prodrĂamos Kindle cheaper.
