Amazon launches Kindle software update for devices – wwwhat’s new? (Blog)

Amazon just released a new software update for its Kindle devices, automatically getting OTA ( Over-The-Air ) both the new Kindle and Kindle Voyage, as well as the latest version of Kindle Paperwhite, over the coming weeks, but users who wish may download the available update from today. Among the new features in this update is the Word Wise remarkable features and Family Library.

 Word Wise

Word knew ( Word Wise ) is the function that helps both in learning English as children learn to read, as it tries to make simple books they are difficult to read, automatically providing short and simple definitions of words that are more complex to accelerate the speed of reading. The family library, meanwhile, allows access to both own books and those of other family members under the same account, ie allows users to have their private libraries along with spouses or partners without sharing Amazon accounts.

Another new feature offered in this update is the launch of the Kindle FreeTime Unlimited subscription, which for just 2.99 dollars per month, children and beginning readers will have access a selection of books according to their ages. Also the expansion of X-rays to facilitate quick scanning of books, greater integration with Goodreads, which is now possible to share reading progress updates, add library books to Kindle, and more; as well as improved search and the ability to see more information about each book, including such aspects as the series to which it belongs or the author behind it.
