The new Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire are the faces HDX video - Tablet Zone

Last year these two franchises held a spectacular commercial duel in the segment of compact tablet, the Nexus 7 2013 and the Kindle Fire HDX promise reissue now. Both share substantial similarities , but also notable differences and that ambivalence is precisely what makes the choice for either team so interesting. We show the new devices Google and Amazon sharing flat.

Both Google and Amazon are choosing to lower the price retail in order to recover the investment, in the first case mainly through advertising , and in the second, of content . On the other hand, we have two extreme examples regarding Android system customization is concerned. The Nexus 7 carries the Google interface, while the Kindle Fire runs on a HDX own ecosystem with a very particular and personal layer.

External appearance

The appearance of both devices is very different. The new Nexus 7 is more elongated , with narrow frames and ready for use primarily in portrait mode, while the Kindle Fire HD X is more squared, with more housing prominent and adapted to the landscape orientation.

The display on both devices is actually similar, although in terms of saturation Amazon team seems to behave a little better, showing a black more black.

Audio

The speaker position on the Kindle Fire HDX and the Nexus 7, 2013 is similar, however, the former seems to be better designed in this respect, since it located away from the position of our hands to hold the device, while Google’s tablet can clog up audio without realizing it.

Sound in Amazon’s tablet seems more grav and that for the Nexus 7, but both offer good performance in general.

The Kindle Fire HDX is a device designed for consuming content and that is the idea that give almost all their menus, simple and accessible. A regular user of Android the organization can be inefficient , but someone who is faced for the first time to a tablet does not have to know which application is used for what, and labels Fire OS make it very easy.

The new Nexus 7 on the other hand, is a paradise for lovers of Android . The number of configurations (non-default) offering, if we like to explore the resources of Google Play is simply amazing.

know that the Kindle Fire HDX has a much more powerful processor than the new Nexus 7 able to overcome his performance AnTuTu benchmarks perhaps more 10,000 points . However, the writer asks, why do we need so much power in a system as closed? ie, the carousel is going to move very quickly from one side to another, but the games work just as well on the Nexus 7.

Certainly, we have our doubts. The hardware that provides the Kindle Fire HDX is possibly the best in 7 inch . Advanced users who want to work with custom ROMs have a real reef with this team.

The Nexus 7 2013 try a rear camera and Kindle Fire HDX no. However, we believe that video is spot on in saying that “hates” using the camera on a tablet. We can not agree more. Even the 7-inch we are too bulky to take pictures.
