According to an analysis firm Flurry name, lower-cost tablets were much more popular this Christmas than Apple iPad.

Research Flurry measures the number of tablets that were activated on Christmas Day and according to the study, compared with previous weeks to December 25, the iPad is activated twice. Although statistics seem important, represents a big change in the minds of consumers when compared with figures from 2012, which reveal that this day were activated up to 6 times more Apple tablets.

In this connection, Samsung, who has become the biggest rival of Apple, also saw strong growth in sales, it had only 1.9 more tablets activated at Christmas than the rest of the year.

the other hand, who definitely dominated the market in this study was Amazon, for Kindle Fire activations rose to 24 times compared to the week before Christmas. Note that Amazon’s tablet does not have the same volume of annual sales iPad, but it’s still amazing the number of people who found it convenient gift (or treat) a Kindle Fire.

Importantly

Amazon is one of the online stores more present in the minds of consumers, and the company has an important showcase to position their products to those who are looking to buy gifts this season.

contender worth mentioning is Acer who, measured by the same statistics, increased sales up to 5 times due largely to the low cost of their devices.

In general, the tablets have seen an incredible explosion in popularity and, in short, 2013 has been his best year so far, for the period January to December comprising 200 million units sold worldwide.
