Amazon Kindle Fire Apps Store and reach 170 countries - PoderPDA

A little over a month we announced that Amazon would be to launch its app store in several countries, including those Mexico . As we know, Amazon has its own version of its app store based on Android for their tablets, but as the market that handles the company is very small, it has been able to expand beyond their borders, except in some markets, so could not give direct competition to Google, unless Apple.

Today Amazon announced formally expanding its app store 200 countries, while the Kindle Fire will be available in 170 countries as of June 13 with aa presale starting today.

To put some context, Google announced that it has 48 million apps downloaded, has doubled the number of payments to its developers, sales of in-app type still growing like subscriptions, but does not mention the amount of income earned. Neither cares much for promoting the store or their apps.

Amazon, by contrast, has experience in marketing, it takes more time selling Internet products and is an established brand, their tablets are sold well and has its own app store on their own terms. The “but” is that it has global coverage for distribution or many partners. Regardless of this fact, they have not had problems with play in the delivery of services in international shipments, offering prices that exceed local commercial supply, with all bills included (tax ye shipments).

Amazon

also seek to reach agreements to sell in these countries, music and video services, which will be interesting because at least in Mexico, we have the movies, but not the music in Google. If Amazon does have it before that Google could become an option to consider.

Amazon store does not have all of these countries, purchases would be made from online stores or from devices in the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Spain and Italy.

By default, all the apps that developers include in the store, will be available in all countries, except they manually select the country or territory where they wish to appear.
