Amazon in the technological landscape is by its ceaseless search for new types of income. The last big announcement of the company has been Kindle Worlds , a platform that will allow publication of Fan Fiction on all Kindle models of the company.

Thus, all fans of fantasy literature and the most fashionable series can let your imagination expanding the universe of their favorite characters, provided they have, of course, with the approval of the owners of the intellectual property rights of the work where they want to build.

not start with empty hands, Amazon launches Kindle Worlds accompanied by an agreement with Alloy Entertainment, Warner Bros, which will allow any fan of shows like Pretty Little Liars , Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries can write a Fan Fiction of your favorite series and even earn money from it.

Yes, you read correctly, make money. Amazon will pay a percentage of sales to the author of Fan Fiction (35% of net profit from their sale in the case of works by more than 10,000 words) and a percentage will go to cover the property rights of the original work. Here everyone wins.

Amazon says the launch of its new store, scheduled for next June, will be accompanied by the ability to write fan fiction of over 50 works. Among them, Barbara Freethy novels, John Everson and Colleen Thompson, all in the best-seller list of The New York Times. The Kindle inventors intend to announce more such deals in the coming weeks.

“With Kindle invent not only hardware and software, also invent new ways to create books,” said Philip Patrick, the Director of Kindle Worlds . “Our goal with Kindle Worlds is create a place where authors can build around universes that we’ll license, and give readers more stories to expand those worlds that both enjoy.”
