Amazon working on a 3D screen smartphone - El Universal - Cartagena

Amazon, a group that would be designing their own smartphone, working toward a screen that can display three-dimensional images without glasses, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

The financial daily announced that the giant Internet retailer works on several applications for its Kindle tablets and electronic books (e-readers).

Quoting informed sources Amazon plans, the newspaper reports that among the devices include two smartphones (phone multifunctional ) and apparatus for audio only.

3D screen technology used sensitive retina, which will allow smartphone images appear to float on the screen as a hologram, giving dimensional feel.

Speculation about Amazon smartphones are multiplied since 2011. At that time, Citigroup said in a research note that he believed the Amazon smartphone was on projects for the following year.

The Journal reported that Amazon is making significant efforts in the hardware industry, but still could postpone their plans for financial or performance.
