Kindle Fire HD 8.9, the new tablet 'low cost' Amazon - Expansión.com

Amazon class=”entradilla”>

a market led by Apple’s iPad but with tablets from Samsung and Asus (Google Nexus manufacturer) at his heels, to become part of the ‘kings’ becomes complicated sector. Some manufacturers have chosen to make a more practical (as Surface and keyboard), others to make the tablets more powerful (higher processor and screen definition) and others by giving them a different look (like hybrids). But in times of crisis such as those at Amazon if anything is clear is that the price is more attractive to their customers.

The company has chosen not to change the look of your new tablet, which just been given a larger screen, in exchange for offering a lower price.

The new Kindle Fire

HD features a 8.9 inch screen with IPS technology versus the previous 7 tablet. With these dimensions, Amazon covers the two standard sizes that sell other manufacturers and broadened its offering with an acceptable product in terms of money. The quality of the screen is enough to display high quality content, but its 1920 x 1200 pixels (254 ppi density), are far behind the iPad Retina or Nexus 10.

The tablet has two ports, one microUSB and microHDMI between which is a small microphone for videoconferencing. In fact, the front camera is the only one that has the new Kindle, regardless of the back that comes equipped with most tablets, despite its usefulness criticized.

rear speakers highlighted device, which boasts element Amazon for Dolby Digital Plus technology.

Regarding power, the Kindle Fire runs a 8.9 dual core processor 1.5 GHz and 1GB of RAM, allowing use quite fluid. Its operating system is Android based, but the optimization by Amazon can create doubts. The Kindle dispenses with the usual Android home screen and replaced by a menu to our liking, less visual, but practical, although complicated to get the hang of if you’re used to Apple or Android. Open windows or tasks appear as main menu while in the top you can access different applications or functions divided by sector.

How could it be otherwise, Amazon has given its own tablet extra content from music distribution site and books. Kindle Fire 8.9 boasts access to over 22 million songs, books, apps and games, apps and offers access to Amazon’s catalog of eBooks including best sellers and exclusive content.

The tablet is available in two versions, 16 or 32GB, unable to expand the memory via SD cards. The smaller size is priced at 269 euros while the 32GB tablet rises to 299 euros.
